Once there was a cowboy (একসময় এক রাখাল বালক ছিল।). He was very wicked ( সে খুবই দুষ্ট ছিল।). He used to befool others by telling lies to people (প্রায় প্রায় সে মানুষের কাছে মিথ্যা কথা বলে বোকা বানাতো।). He often cried out, “Wolf! ‘Wolf!” (প্রায়ই চিৎকার করে বলতেন, “নেকড়ে! ‘নেকড়ে!). The kind-hearted villagers heard his cry and rushed to the spot with sticks to save the cowboy (সহৃদয় গ্রামবাসীরা রাখাল বালক এর কান্না শুনে তাকে বাঁচাতে লাঠিসোঁটা নিয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে ছুটে আসে।). But when they came near, they found no wolf and the cowboy laughed at them ( কিন্তু যখন তারা কাছে আসে, তারা কোন নেকড়ে দেখতে পেল না এবং রাখাল বালক তাদের দেখে হাসল।). After a few days, the boy made the same fun (কিছুদিন পর ছেলেটাও একই মজা করল।). The villagers again ran to the field (গ্রামবাসী আবার মাঠে ছুটে গেলো।). But they found no wolf and the boy laughed at them ( কিন্তু তারা কোন নেকড়ে খুঁজে পেল না এবং ছেলেটি তাদের দেখে হাসল।). The villagers became very angry and advised the boy not to make this kind of fun (গ্রামবাসীরা খুব ক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে ছেলেটিকে এই ধরনের মজা না করার পরামর্শ দিল।). But one day a wolf really came (কিন্তু একদিন সত্যিই একটা নেকড়ে এলো।). It started to kill the cows one by one (নেকড়ে টি একে একে গরু মারতে শুরু করলো।). The cowboy was frightened. He shouted and shouted, “Wolf! Wolf! Help! Help!” But none came ( রাখাল বালক ভয় পেয়ে গেল। সে চিৎকার করে বলল, “নেকড়ে! নেকড়ে ! সাহায্য! সাহায্য করুন!” কিন্তু কেউ আসেনি।). The villagers heard him but thought that the boy was again making fun of them (গ্রামবাসীরা তার কথা শুনেছিল কিন্তু ভেবেছিল ছেলেটি আবার তাদের সাথে ঠাট্টা করছে।).
